Loop Studio adds video editing to the AI you already use. You upload a recording; your Claude or ChatGPT cuts the retakes and silences, adds captions, graphics and music, and exports the finished video. You review every change in your browser.
1. What you need
- A Loop Studio account on the Starter or Pro plan. See plans.
- An AI app that supports remote MCP connectors: Claude (web or desktop), ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code.
- A video you recorded. Upload it at loop-studio.ai/studio, or ask your AI to upload it for you.
2. Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Find Loop Studio in the directory, or choose Add custom connector with the name Loop Studio and the URL
https://loop-studio.ai/api/mcp. - Select Connect. Sign in to Loop Studio and approve access.
Claude Code signed in with the same Claude account uses the same connector.
3. Connect ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors.
- Find Loop Studio, or add a connector with the URL
https://loop-studio.ai/api/mcpand OAuth sign in. - Sign in to Loop Studio and approve access.
4. Connect Codex or Claude Code from a terminal
Codex: codex mcp add loopstudio_oauth --url https://loop-studio.ai/api/mcp. If Codex does not open a sign-in page, run codex mcp login loopstudio_oauth.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --scope user --transport http loopstudio_oauth https://loop-studio.ai/api/mcp, then type /mcp in Claude Code, choose Loop Studio and authenticate.
Either way you sign in to Loop Studio in your browser and approve access. No password or key is pasted into the terminal.
5. Your first requests
Check the connection: Use Loop Studio's list_videos tool to show my videos.
Then ask for an edit, for example:
Edit my latest Loop Studio video: cut the retakes and silences and add captions.
Make a 9:16 version of my product demo with music that fits it.
Read the feedback my client left on the review link and apply it.
Your AI shows you the result in Loop Studio. It exports a final video only when you ask for one.
6. What your AI can see and change
- It can read your projects, videos, transcripts, edits, feedback notes and render status.
- It can edit a video: cut, rearrange, add captions, graphics, music and camera moves, and undo or restore earlier versions. Every change is saved in the video's history.
- Actions that replace or remove existing work, such as replacing a timeline, removing pauses or undoing a change, are marked as such, so your AI app can ask you before running them.
- It never deletes your source footage. It creates a public client review link only when you ask for one.
- It works only in the Loop Studio account you approved. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
7. Disconnect
Remove Loop Studio in your AI app's connector settings, or disable the connection in Loop Studio under Settings, AI connections. A disabled connection stops working at once.
